I dont know who you are asking, but the people I talk to, who arent hardcore gamers, know a lot about HDTV's and high defintion. Old people might not know what it is, but from teens to people in their late 30's to mid 40's know it. And luckily, those are the target audience for these consoles. Ask most 25 year old about high def movies, and blu ray or hddvd they will know it.
